How to restart your 4G ZTE MF296R router

This article explains how to restart your 4G ZTE MF296R router. There are two ways to do this: using the reset button on the router, or through the software interface.

Option A: Restart Using the Reset Button

Press and hold the Reset button on your router with a pin for approximately 10 seconds until the LED lights turn off and back on again.

Option B: Restart Using the Software Interface

  1. Open your browser and enter http://192.168.8.1 in the address bar, then press Enter.
  2. Enter your login details and click Log In. The default password is on the sticker at the bottom of the router.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Select System.
  5. Select Restart.
  6. Select Restart again to confirm.
  7. Select Continue.
