HubSpot Marketplace Installation Guide

This guide explains how to install the bOnline phone app for HubSpot Marketplace integration.

Prerequisites

  • HubSpot user account with App Marketplace access permissions
  • bOnline user account
  • bOnline user CRM add-on
  • bOnline CRM client installed (URL)
  • A browser supporting the HubSpot calling tool

Installation steps

  1. Enter your HubSpot credentials to sign into HubSpot.

  1. Start the installation process by following the installation link.
  2. Choose your preferred HubSpot account for the installation.

  1. Grant access to allow bOnline to retrieve data from your account.

  1. You will be redirected to the following page to log in with the authorised account.

The application is now installed. You can remove the application at any time from HubSpot via Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps.

Using the app: dialling

  1. On the contact page of your choice, select the call button, then select Change Provider.

  1. From the options list, choose bOnline.

  1. You can now make outbound calls using the bOnline phone client. Select the Call {phone number} option.

Alternatively, select the dial icon next to a phone number. The app will activate and open a pop-up window:

  • Select Choose application. Your browser may suppress pop-up messages, in which case you will need to allow pop-ups for HubSpot.com first.
  • Search for or select the Make Call application. Double-select the option or select Open Link to start the call.

Using the app: receiving calls

Open the bOnline for HubSpot app by selecting the phone icon in the top-right corner of the screen and entering your bOnline phone login. The app must be open on at least one tab for the incoming call functionality to work.

When receiving a call, a notification will appear in the app containing call information, quick actions, and a notes field.

If the number is not recognised, the name field will not be shown and the View note button will not be available. If multiple contacts or companies match the number, a dropdown will appear where you can select the preferred contact or company. The icon next to the name indicates whether the match is a contact or a company.
