What if I’m not receiving calls or notifications?

If you are not receiving incoming calls or call notifications on the bOnline app, follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.



1. Make sure you are logged in correctly

Ensure that you are logged in to the bOnline app using the correct username and password.
 If you recently installed the app or changed devices, log out and log back in to refresh the connection.

  • If you see an error message such as “Your device is not registered to receive calls”, logging out and back in usually resolves this.




2. Check your internet connection

The bOnline app requires a stable internet connection to receive calls.

  • Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data

  • If possible, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data and test again



3. Check your availability status

If your status is set to Do Not Disturb or Unavailable, incoming calls may not ring on your app.

  • Open the app

  • Set your status to Available

  • Try receiving a test call


4. Check notification permissions

If notifications are disabled, calls may not alert you even though they are reaching the app.

On your device:

  • Ensure notifications are enabled for the bOnline app

  • Allow sound, banners, and lock-screen notifications


5. Check battery and background settings (mobile devices)

Some devices restrict apps from running in the background.

  • Disable battery optimisation for the bOnline app

  • Allow the app to run in the background

This helps ensure calls and notifications are received consistently.




6. Restart the app or device

If calls are still not coming through:

  • Close the app completely and reopen it

  • Restart your device and test again


7. Reinstall the app

If the issue persists:

  • Uninstall the bOnline app

  • Restart your device

  • Reinstall the app and log in again
