This article explains the lights and ports on your 5G ZTE MC888 router so you can understand what each indicator means and use your device effectively.
Indicator Lights
1. Signal
- On: Three lights show the signal strength. More lights on means a stronger signal.
- Off: There is no signal or no nano-SIM card inserted.
2. Network
- Red: The device is powered on but not registered to the mobile network.
- Blue solid: The device is registered or connected to the 4G mobile network.
- White solid: The device is registered or connected to the 5G network.
3. Wi-Fi
- On: Wi-Fi is working normally.
- Blinking: WPS is activating.
- Off: Wi-Fi is off.
4. Power
- On: The device is powered on.
- Off: The device is powered off.
Ports and Buttons
5. WPS key
- Press to activate the WPS function and connect devices without a password.
6. Phone port
- Connect a telephone here.
7. LAN ports
- LAN1: Connect to the WAN in cable broadband mode.
- LAN2: Connect to a PC.
8. Power port
- Connect to the power adapter here.
9. Nano-SIM card slot and reset hole
- Card slot: Insert your nano-SIM card here.
- Reset hole: Press and hold for approximately 2 seconds using a pointed object to restore the device to factory settings.
