This article explains how to restart your 5G ZTE MC801A router using a power cycle. Restarting your router can resolve common issues such as slow speeds, intermittent connectivity, or devices being unable to connect.
How to restart your router
- Unplug the power cable from the back of the router.
- Unplug the power adapter from the wall socket.
- Wait 3 to 5 minutes with both unplugged.
- Plug the power adapter back into the wall socket.
- Plug the power cable back into the router.
- Wait 3 to 5 minutes for the router to reboot and re-establish your internet connection.

Please note: A restart does not erase your settings. Your Wi-Fi name, password, and all custom configurations will remain unchanged.
