How to reset your router

Why does a router need to be reset? 

A router reset can fix certain internet connectivity issues, from no internet connectivity to slow wireless connections. It is also good security practice to reboot the router every once in a while. 

Follow the steps below to reset your Zyxel VMG1312-T20B router:

Make sure your router is plugged in.

Find your router’s 'Power' button. This will be on the back or the bottom of your router.

Hold down the 'Power' button for 5 seconds for this router, then release the button.

Wait for the router to power back on.

Follow the steps below to reset your Zyxel VMG3925-B10B router:

Make sure your router is plugged in.

Find your router’s 'Reset' button. This will be on the back or the bottom of your router.

For this router use a paperclip to hold down the 'Reset' button for 30 seconds, then release the button.

Wait for the router to power back on.

Follow the steps below to reset your Technicolor TG588V V2 router:

Make sure your router is plugged in.

Find your router’s 'Reset' button. This will be on the back or the bottom of your router.

For this router use a paperclip to hold down the 'Reset' button until the power goes off, then release the button.

Wait for the router to power back on.

NB: Resetting a router can also clear the memory, which is critical for customers with multiple devices or an older router. A router can be reset about every 2 months.
