Polycom provisioning guide for VoIP 2.0

Factory reset the device:

  • Press the 'Menu' or 'Home' button.

  • Select 'Settings', then 'Advanced'.

  • Select 'Administration settings'.

  • Select 'Reset to defaults'.

  • Select 'Reset to factory'.

  • Select 'Yes' to confirm.

Provisioning the device:

  • Press the 'Menu' button.

  • Select 'Settings'.

  • Then, select 'Advanced'.

  • At the password prompt, key in 456 then press the 'Enter' key on your device.

NB: If the password is a known value other than 456, then enter that value instead. If the password is not 456 and the actual password is not known, then the remainder of this procedure cannot be performed, and the device cannot be modified for use.

  • Select 'Admin Settings'.

  • Select 'Network Configuration'.

  • Using the up/down arrows, highlight 'Provisioning Server', then press 'Select'.

  • Using the up/down arrows, highlight the 'DHCP menu', then press 'Select'.

  • Using the up/down arrows, highlight 'Boot Server', then press 'Select'.

  • Using the up/down arrows, select 'Static', then press 'Select'.

  • Press 'Back' to exit the DHCP menu.

  • Using the up/down arrows, highlight 'Server Type', then press 'Select'.

  • Using the right/left arrows, select 'HTTPS', then press the 'Ok' soft key.

  • Using the up/down arrows, highlight 'Server Address', then press 'Select'.

  • Using the numeric keypad, enter the following case-sensitive URL: http://pvsx1.phone.bonline.com/pv/

This will cause the phone to reboot and do an upgrade. Once the upgrade is complete the device should be in working/registered status.
