Overview
Yealink devices allow users to access their voicemail directly from the handset using a shortcode. This guide explains how to retrieve and manage voicemails using *98.
Steps to Retrieve Voicemail
1. Pick up the handset
- AX83H / W73P: Press the Call button
- T31P: Lift the handset or press the Speaker key
2. Dial *98
- This connects you to the voicemail system.
3. Enter your voicemail PIN
- If prompted, enter your voicemail PIN followed by #.
- If you have not changed your PIN, it may still be set to the default PIN (provided during service setup).
4. Follow the voice prompts
- Listen to new or saved messages
- Delete, replay, or save voicemails
- Change voicemail greetings or PIN (if enabled)
Device-Specific Notes
Yealink AX83H (Wi-Fi Handset)
- Ensure the handset is connected to Wi-Fi and registered to the system.
- Voicemail access works the same as desk phones via *98.
Yealink T31P (Desk Phone)
- You can use either the handset or speaker mode.
- The Message/Envelope key may also light up when a new voicemail is available (if configured).
Yealink W73P (Cordless DECT Phone)
- Make sure the handset is registered to the W73P base station.
- Voicemail retrieval is done directly from the handset using *98.
Troubleshooting Tips
Cannot access voicemail?
- Confirm the phone line is registered and in service.
- Check that voicemail is enabled on the account.
- Verify the correct PIN is being used.
Forgot voicemail PIN?
- Contact your service provider or support team to reset the PIN.
