SIM Activation, Barring, and Swapping Timelines

This article explains the timelines for SIM activation, barring, and swapping on your bOnline 4G or 5G broadband service.

SIM Activation

Once your order has been placed, the following activation timescales apply:

If you connect your SIM before 12pm, it will activate within 24 hours from 12pm.
If you connect your SIM after 12pm, it will activate within 24 hours from 4pm.
If you connect your SIM after 4pm, it will activate by 12pm the following day.

SIM Barring

Once a SIM bar has been requested, it can take up to 2 working days to take effect.

Need it done urgently? Contact the support team via live chat and they will action the SIM bar within 15 minutes.

SIM Swap

Once a SIM swap has been requested, it can take up to 2 working days to switch to the new SIM.

Need it done urgently? Contact the support team via live chat and they will action the SIM swap within 15 minutes.
